ಕಸ್ತೂರಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಾಲೆ - ಕಮ್ಮಿಂಗ್ ಭಾರತದ ಆರೇ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ನುಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ನಮ್ಮ ಚೆಂದದ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಹೆತ್ತವರು, ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಬಂದರೆ ಸಾಕು ಎಂಬ ಆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹುರುಪಿನಿಂದ ಕಲಿಯಲು ಬರುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಸರಳವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಚೆಲ್ಲಾಟದೊಡನೆ ಕಲಿತು ಈ ಸುಂದರ ನುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಉಳಿಸಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

2019 ರಲ್ಲಿ 45 ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದ ಬೆಳೆದು ಇಂದು ೧೦೦ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹತ್ತಿರದಷ್ಟು ಕಲಿಗರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಎರಡು ಗುಂಪುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ (೩ ಮತ್ತು ೪:೩೦ ಕ್ಕೆ) ೭೫ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಪಾಟವಿರುತ್ತದೆ. 2020ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ವರ್ಚುವಲ್ / ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್‌ಗೆ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕಲಿಯುವ ಉತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನೃಪತುಂಗ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕೂಟದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Kasturi Kannada Shaale - Cumming proudly teaches Kannada, one of only six classical languages ​​of India.

Parents start with the desire that their children just speak the language. Enthusiastic children learn this language through simple and fun learning experience. We all work to retain this beautiful language for our next generation.

We started in Fall of 2019 with about 45 students and have been grown to just under 100 students. There will be a two 75 minute classes on Sundays starting at 3pm and 4:30pm.

In 2020, the school has shifted to virtual / online. Yet the children retain a passion for learning.

KKS-Cumming students participate in Nrupathunga Kannada Koota '(Atlanta's Kannada community) events that take place through the year.
